Tara and Ross Cheesewright of Sherwood Park Orchard in Bunyip have added to the 350-tree orchard with 300 new apple and 1000 cherry trees. Their 18-hectare property had 350 established late-season varieties, including Sundowners, Granny Smiths and Pink Ladies. The Cheesewrights have since planted 800 more trees, including Jonathon, Galas, Fuji and Snow apples to extend their picking season. Visit Tara and Ross at Sherwood Park and "YOU PICK" your own apples during harvesting season, and look for their apples in our box.

Maurie and Maria Cafra and their band of workers grow an abundance of beautiful NASAA certified organic vegetables at Koo Wee Rup. As very experienced and innovative organic growers, they have developed a model of sustainable food production. Compost processed on-farm continually contributes to healthy soil life and nutritious produce. Tomatoes, broccoli, asparagus, peas, beans, eggplant, capsicums, kale, cabbage, onions, sweet corn and pumpkins are some of the lines from Cafresco to be found in our vegetable boxes.

Thriving Foods Farm is a small poly intensive farm which uses a combination of organic and permaculture farming techniques. They are chemical free. Their produce includes: beetroot, cauliflower, cucumber, eggplant, broccoli, kale, leeks, lettuce (cos, green and red frilly), onions, parsley, pumpkins, radishes, silverbeet, spring onions, tomatoes and zucchini. They also sell eggs, where their chickens are pasture fed with a very low stocking density (10 birds per hectare) which are regularly found in our vegetable boxes.

Muddy Creek Gardens is operated by local farmer Ryan DeCoite. Muddy Creek Gardens is a small scale market garden located in Belgrave South, east of Melbourne. Ryan and his merry helpers grown seasonal organic produce all year round such as French breakfast radish, Coriander, Rhubarb and much much more. Look for these soon in our delicious weekly veggie boxes.
